Egg free cookies

Ingredients

NO EGGS!
12oz Self Raising Flour
8oz Soft Margarine
8oz Caster Sugar
2oz Dark Chocolate Drops (or anything else you fancy putting in; smarties, white chocolate drops, raisins etc.)

Method

1 - Mix the ingerdients together in a big bowl, use your hands to knead the dough, it shouldn't be at all crumbly, so add a little more margarine if it is.
2 - Take a small ball of dough, about the size of 1 and a half ping pong balls and squeeze it so it's a circle about 1.5cm thick
3 - Place on a greased tray.
You can make between 16 - 22 cookies, so use 2 trays.
4 - Cook in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for about 15 mins. My oven's shit, so it takes a little less time.
5 - Eat them while they're hot! Taste magic with a glass of milk :)

Lucy - March 10, 2010, 10:26 am

Amazing recipie! I made a few changes though as i dont have any weighing scales, and there seemed to be too much flour:
1 cup plain flour, 1tsp baking powder, 1 cup marg, 1 cup sugar (half cup castor sugar, half cup brown sugar)
absolutely delicious and chewy :3

Wow! Fantastic! I used butter instead of margarine, and they came out wonderfully. Instead of chocolate, I used some ground almonds, sliced almonds, and almond extract, and I would really recommend this mixture. Amazingly tasty. Not healthy, with a cup of butter, but tasty.
