If you haven’t heard of Carrs sauce flour, then try it! It cost about 50-60p per bag, and is a vital ingrediant in all my white-sauce based recipes.

put sauce flour and milk in a saucepan over a med. heat and stir until it comes to the boil and thicken. This takes about 5-6 mins.

once you have made the basic sauce then you can add stuff like parsley, cheese, bread etc.

This can also be used to make a sweet sauce.

But best thing about this flour is that you don’t have to use all milk.

You can use half milk half water. So you can use the water your veg have been cooking in for extra tasty sauce!

You may also notice there is no butter, so there’s no standing at the stove for hours trying to make a roux, then adding the milk drip by drip!
