Here we are at the end of the Student Summer Detox with guilt free and healthy snack and treat ideas. For those of you dedicated readers of the SSD (i.e. Student Summer Detox), if anything I want you to have learnt from these blogs is that cooking and healthy eating isn’t impossible or boring – there’s no deprivation or starvation, just enjoying fresh and nutritious food and feeling good on the inside!
In the lead up to the university term starting, supermarkets and department stores around the country will be welcoming students with open arms as they do their critical pre-uni shopping. In our earlier university checklist post we went through some of the essential items which need to be considered, including stationery, key documents to remember and not forgetting the all important fancy dress accessories. For some students this will be the first time away from home and the first time they will need to think about cooking for themselves, which is why we have dedicated an entire post to the glorious kitchen.
