Obviously the main purpose of going to university is to learn, and gain that all important degree. Having said that, one of the main phrases you hear about university is the fact that it's a 'life experience'... but what does that actually mean? Asides from all the academic stuff - what do you learn?
It’s that time of the year again when freshers undergo the transition from living in halls or shared uni accommodation to finding a house for the next academic year and are probably panicking. You may not know where to go, where to start or even what you should be looking for. A few years ago, I was in the same position, so therefore I have come up with ways for you (as a fresher) to remember when hunting for that year long accommodation.
Can you feel the cold snap yet? Yep, autumn is coming – and whether you love the cold or not, fear not! Coming into season are some nutritious vegetables and fruits that will warm you up and keep you going through those early morning starts and keep the winter flu at bay. What’s more, supermarkets fresh weekly offers have started to sell these vegetables and fruits at prices that we can all afford!
It’s the start of a new year (almost) and there are a lot of us out there that are trying to set ourselves goals or targets to achieve in the year of 2015...
So, you’ve started University. You’ve done Freshers’ Week, met some new people and (hopefully) had a good time. But when the real stuff kicks in (i.e. work) you may find yourself coming back down to earth with a bump. You might realise that something is missing.
