Here is one drug addiction that is very much under the radar, but so common in the average student diet. Sugar. Very few of us really understand the damage that excessive consumption can do to our bodies, and the part they play in weight gain. Now we are at University we have the freedom to eat what we want, we could easily fall victim to one of the most highly addictive drugs.
Maintaining a regular eating pattern at University can be difficult, with those late nights and late starts, you might feel slightly disjointed with your mealtimes which can in turn lead to unhealthy eating habits… such as snacking.
When those three summer months come round, it’s hard to resist the temptation of going on holiday with friends, especially to get away from the 9am lectures and 5,000 word essays. It’s important however to be responsible when booking a holiday, and to not scrimp and save the important bits! Plenty of research is important, don’t rush into the first thing you see and like, make sure you know everything there is to know about the place and area, don’t go on holiday blindfolded!
