Here we are again... and it’s the first week of November already! Where has all the time gone? Fresher’s Week seems like many moons ago now (or, it’s all just a bit of a blur to you!). Hopefully you have all settled in, had fun, made friends, attended lectures and are coping with your new student lifestyle. Whether you have made a real stab in the kitchen just yet now that might be another story...
Here we are at the end of the Student Summer Detox with guilt free and healthy snack and treat ideas. For those of you dedicated readers of the SSD (i.e. Student Summer Detox), if anything I want you to have learnt from these blogs is that cooking and healthy eating isn’t impossible or boring – there’s no deprivation or starvation, just enjoying fresh and nutritious food and feeling good on the inside!
University. It’s all about socialising, having fun and gaining life experience, right? Or perhaps for you it’s all about learning, exploring your interests and improving yourself. For whatever reason you are or want to be a student, you will undoubtedly find something about it appealing.
To all you partying freshers and you stressed out dissertation writers, listen up! Save your money and cook!
Starting to run out of ideas in the kitchen? Sick of having spaghetti bolognese every other night? Mum refusing your calls because she’s sick of the endless amount of ‘how do I cook this’ questions? Thought so. Seeing as you’re only about one month into this cooking for yourself malarkey, maybe it’s time you got some help in the kitchen – that’s not from your mother.
