If you haven’t already been bombarded with leaflets, free lollipops and invitations to join absurd promotional events, you are obviously lucky enough to live in a University with non-aggressive letting agencies nearby. For those of us who do, the mad rush to find a student house to live in for the next academic year could hardly have gone unnoticed. Hunting for housemates, signing contracts, paying deposits… the whole thing is all a bit bewildering.
So, you’ve started University. You’ve done Freshers’ Week, met some new people and (hopefully) had a good time. But when the real stuff kicks in (i.e. work) you may find yourself coming back down to earth with a bump. You might realise that something is missing.
Now, we students aren’t the only guilty ones. People of all ages seem to have this stereotypical idea that buying and cooking fresh food is more expensive than loading up on fast food and ready meals – when actually, they couldn’t be more wrong!
