When it comes to students, it’s safe to say most of us (including myself!) aren’t Michelin starred trained. In fact, most are limited as to what they can do in the kitchen – but you don’t have to be an outstanding chef to be able to cook up something not only delicious but nutritious too.
For some people your university career will be coming to an end this summer. As a lot of people move away from home for university, it is likely they could be moving back to their hometown or moving away to a different city for work once university ends. I thought it would be a great idea to get a few things together to remind you of your time at university and for those that are moving away, something to remind you of the place you lived for three years, maybe more.
Maybe you have just moved into student accommodation, or know someone who has. Either way, you might want to pay attention to some pretty startling news about fire hazards in Halls of Residence.
The typical fresher puts on an average of 15 pounds (or just over a stone!) in their first year at university, so that news may be welcoming to those of you struggling to get into your old pairs of jeans – you’re not on your own! Summer is as good a time as any to cleanse your body of all that junk food you may have been eating over the past year or so and start afresh with a healthy diet that will leave you feeling refreshed.
Now, we students aren’t the only guilty ones. People of all ages seem to have this stereotypical idea that buying and cooking fresh food is more expensive than loading up on fast food and ready meals – when actually, they couldn’t be more wrong!
