Now, we students aren’t the only guilty ones. People of all ages seem to have this stereotypical idea that buying and cooking fresh food is more expensive than loading up on fast food and ready meals – when actually, they couldn’t be more wrong!
Summer is well and truly on the way and even though most students are revising for exams or cramming as many hours as possible into their coursework, it doesn’t mean you can’t have something to look forward to and enjoy the warm weather like everyone else.
Hallelujah! We made it through the dreaded month that is January, usually full of rainy, cold weather and exams, revision and lots of stress. So now that it’s over, you (well, some of you) might feel all that hard work should be rewarded.
February and March are the perfect months in the year to sow seeds and grow your own veggies! It’s a common belief that growing your own vegetables and plants is a hard and labourious process requiring vast amounts of time and space; however this couldn’t be more wrong, the perfect carrots could be grown on your very own windowsill!
So the new academic year is well under way and we are already being set those deadlines before the Christmas holidays approach. This does not mean you have to feel stressed or under any pressure though, being organised is the key to a happy and less stressful time at university and it will leave you feeling reassured of your deadline dates, give you time to sleep and go out and socialise with your friends as well as giving yourself to go home and enjoy time with your family.
