It’s a new year and a fresh new start. I know a lot of students are getting on the ‘health kick’ bandwagon and are wanting to cook better and healthier meals for themselves to give them that brain power and kick to start the day. By cooking your own meals as a student you can cook in larger batches that can be stored away in the fridge or freezer for a later date. This not only saves students money but also keeps those pesky take-aways at bay that students often delve for when they start to run out of food or money.
It’s semester two already and although it seems far away now those exams are creeping up fast. It almost seems strange to be discussing revision only a week or so into February, however with reading weeks fast approaching, now is the perfect time to sort out those revision blues and start like you mean to go on.
As a student we are all constantly living off of our loans, making them stretch as far as we possibly can. However it has got to that time of year where we are scrimping and saving until it’s time to go home for Christmas, waiting to come back to start the second semester with the brand new installment of our student loan; therefore it is important to make our food to keep us fuller for longer. With December seeing the beginning of winter and the nights are fully drawn in it is important as well to make sure the food we eat keeps us not only full, but warm.
