It’s that time of year again, New Year’s Eve has passed and a New Year has hit us hard, but what New Year’s resolutions do you pick? Is there any point in picking any at all? Instead of the usual drab resolutions that no one sticks to how about picking a fun and helpful one, sticking to these helpful tips as you go!
Most people will be making their first trip to uni soon, or travelling back for another long year of hard work and exams, ready for the main event of the year, Fresher’s Week!
So the new academic year is well under way and we are already being set those deadlines before the Christmas holidays approach. This does not mean you have to feel stressed or under any pressure though, being organised is the key to a happy and less stressful time at university and it will leave you feeling reassured of your deadline dates, give you time to sleep and go out and socialise with your friends as well as giving yourself to go home and enjoy time with your family.
Your stomach gurgles. The PowerPoint presentation flickers before your eyes. You try in vain to write some useful notes, but to no avail. Is it Fresher’s flu? A hangover? Maybe.
But then again, maybe not.
As a student we are all constantly living off of our loans, making them stretch as far as we possibly can. However it has got to that time of year where we are scrimping and saving until it’s time to go home for Christmas, waiting to come back to start the second semester with the brand new installment of our student loan; therefore it is important to make our food to keep us fuller for longer. With December seeing the beginning of winter and the nights are fully drawn in it is important as well to make sure the food we eat keeps us not only full, but warm.
