Step 1: ?preheat oven to 140 degrees
Step 2: ?grease the cake tin with butter or cooking spray oil
Step 3: ?using an electric beater, cream butter and sugar for 5 minutes or until the colour is pale and fluffy.
Step 4: ?add one eggs at a time, beating well with each addition.
Step 5: ?fold in sifted flour
Step 6: ?pour mixture into greased pan and bake for 1 1/4 hours (cover with alfoil if the cake is browning too quickly)
Step 7: ?cool in tin before taking it out.
Step 9: it’s much lovelier with whipped cream and strawberries
