2. Beat butter and sugar together until light and creamy.

3. Beat the golden syrup into the butter and sugar with the vanilla essence.

4. Mix up the flour and chocolate chunks until just combined.

5. Take a teaspoonful of the mixture, roll it into a ball, place onto a greased based baking tray, flattening slightly with the palm of your hand. Continue with the rest of the dough.

6. Allow plenty of room for cookies to spread whilst baking.

7. Bake for roughly 12 minutes until golden brown.
