Spag Bol

Ingredients

  • 200g fresh mince
  • 1 onion
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1 red pepper
  • 2 teaspoons garlic paste
  • 1 jar bolagnaise sauce
  • good size block of cheese to grate on top!

Method

fry off onions and peppers in a pan with about 2 teaspoons veg oil until golden.

tramsfer into a bowl

(DON'T CLEAN FRYING PAN)

fry off fresh mince (drain off fat)

when meat is brown add onions, peppers and bolgnaise sauce and garlic paste simmer for 15 mins.

whilst waitin for bolognaise put cold water and salt into a large pan, bring to the boil and then add dried spagettiand cook for 9 mins

when both foods are ready dish up and grate fresh cheese over bolognaise and enjoy!

    Instead of using a jar of sauce, I use tomato puree and a tin of peeled plum tomatoes - this is then left to simmer and reduce. This may even work out cheaper and tastier than some sauces from a jar =]
