Cheating Chicken Curry

Store bought sauce, spruced up!



  • 1 chicken breast, cut into chunks
  • 200g any curry sauce
  • half a red pepper, chopped into chunks
  • 2 tomatoes, cut into chunks
  • 5 okras tinned or fresh, chopped
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 clove of garlic, chopped
  • tsp cumin
  • tsp chili powder


1. Heat some oil in a pan and fry the onion, garlic and chicken for 2 minutes.

2. Add the red pepper and the spices and stir.

3. Once the chicken is cooked through and the pepper slightly softened, add tomatoes and okra. Fry for 2 minutes.

4. Add the curry sauce and stir. Cook for another few minutes until the sauce is piping hot.

5. Serve with rice and yoghurt.
