Chicken Adobo

Ingredients

  • 1 whole chicken, chopped
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1 medium sized onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 3-5 whole peppercorn
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • salt
  • 2 large potatoes, cubes *(optional)
  • 1/2 cup pineapple chunks *(optional)
  • 1 tbsp sugar *(optional)

Method

1. Saute garlic and onion until brown. Mix in the chicken until it changes color.

2. Pour the soy sauce and water. Simmer for 5 minutes.

3. Add in potatoes, pineapple and sugar if desired.

4. Put in the bay leaves and peppercorn. Simmer for 10 minutes.

5. Add salt if still needed.

Best served with rice! :) ENJOOOOOY!
