Sweet And Sour Chicken :)

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 chicken filets preferably with no skin
  • 1 onion
  • 1 can of pineapple with juice
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp vinegar
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp tomato puree or ketchup
  • 1 tbsp cornflour


1 chop up the onion and chicken and add to a frying pan with the olive oil.

2 put the stove onto gas mark 4 and tend to it regularily

3 drain the pinapple juice from the can nd add to a jug of 50ml cold water. put the pineapple onto one side

4 add all the other ingredients to the jug except the pinapple. add a pich of slt and pepper. stir well so it all mixes together. this is the sweet and sour sauce

5 keep stirring the onion and chicken in the frying pan until onion is cooked.

6 once the onion is cooked add the sauce and stirin well.

7 add the chopped up pineapple to the frying pan

8 let it simmer until chicken is cooked

9 serve an enjoy :)

    I have tried this recipe and it is superb i love the texture and the taste of the chicken what i dont know is the time it takes to cook and prepare this wonderful dish.

    Terrific recipe and so easy with store cupboard ingredients, will use it again and again.
    pity about the guy who is more interested in correct spelling than in making helpful comments.
