Sweet And Sour Chicken (or Pork)

Chicken in a sweet and sour sauce (can be adapted)

Ingredients

  • > chicken,
  • > peppers of any colour you want,
  • > tinned pineapple,
  • > bit of chopped onion
  • >ketchup
  • > vinegar (white wine vinegar works best)
  • > plenty of sugar to take away the bitterness of the vinegar
  • >pinch of salt
  • > (tbsp of sieved flour/cornflour if the mixture is really runny

Method

> chicken,

> peppers of any colour you want,

> tinned pineapple,

> bit of chopped onion

mix:

>ketchup

> vinegar (white wine vinegar works best)

> plenty of sugar to take away the bitterness of the vinegar

>pinch of salt

> (tbsp of sieved flour/cornflour if the mixture is really runny

then add this to the rest of the dish, and cook for about 15mins, until the sauce has thinkned up and is bubbling nicely.

    Hi Boo, Thanks for the recipe. It's a bit light on with regard to 'Method' of cooking and with respect to what vegetables to include - capsicum / carrot, onion, green onion. Ketchup!! What the .... ! Yuk! But I'm sure with an expansion of an explanation in your cooking method, as well as the vegetables, I'm sure these changes would increase the value of this recipe by 80% But thanks for the effort! Keep it up buddy!

    Magnificento! Just be wary of amount of vinegar (would suggest 1/2 cup for a family of 3).
