Knead the pastry and the brown sugar until well mixed.
Roll all of the pastry into thin strips.
Make the pastry into plaits (use three pieces of pastry for each plait)
Put all of the plaits, with about an inch and a half of growing space in-between each one, on a greased baking tray.
Sprinkle the caster sugar over the plaits.
Place into the oven for roughly 20 - 30 minutes (but check on them every five minutes).
Serve as a posh dough pudding!
