Fruity Morning Porridge

Yummy breakfast to kick start the day!



  • Porridge Oats
  • Apples
  • Raisins / Sultanas
  • Sugar (preferably brown sugar)
  • Milk
  • Cinnamon
  • Golden Syrup / Treacle
  • Blue Berries (optional)


*Peel and chop two small apples into small chunks.

*Add 50g of Porridge oats and 300ml of milk to a small saucepan and heat until it boils, stirring it regularly to make sure it doesn't stick.

!Turn the heat down a little and stir in the apple chunks, and a handful of raisins/sultanas.

*Leave to simmer for 2-3 minutes, stirring the porridge more regularly then turn off the heat.

*Mix into the saucepan a spoon full of golden syrup/treacle, a good dash of cinnamon and a handful of blueberries (optional)

*Lastly, coat the top in a thin layer of brown/white sugar and gradually heat under the grill until the sugar melts a little.

*Spoon out into a bowl and eat with a nice glass of cold fruit juice :)

*You can also add a couple of pieces of chocolate to the porridge if you needed a bit of an extra boost!
