Cinnamon Biscuits

they'll make you feel all christmasy inside!



  • 150g SR flour
  • 150g plain flour
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 125g butter
  • 100g sugar
  • 1 beaten egg


Set the oven to 160'c (gas mark 3)

Sift the two flours and the cinnamon into a large bowl

In a separate bowl, mix butter and sugar until smooth

Add the egg and mix well

Stir in the dry ingredients and mix into a firm dough

Lift onto a lightly floured board and knead well until smooth

Roll to 5mm thickness

Cut into shapes and place onto a greased oven tray

Bake in the preheated oven until the biscuits are a light golden colour (about 10-15 mins)

Let the biscuits cool and harden on a wire rack

    they are in the oven now.... AND YUM!! they smell sooooooo good I could eat them raw! just kidding well maybe not but ya! thx for the recipe!

    These are nice at christmas time. You can also add dried/powered ginger or nutmeg. I sometimes ice them with runny icing.
