Makes a great starter/snack

  • 1 small onion
  • 1/2 red chilli
  • 200g lamb mince
  • 1 clove garlic
  • fresh herbs (parsley,mint,corriander...)
  • 1 teaspoon of cumin

Roughly chop the onion into chunks.

blend together the onion chunks, garlic, red chill, cumin and herbs using a blender for about 40 seconds until it forms a paste.(you could add salt for flavour)

then mix in the paste with the mince using a tablespoon. (at this stage you could add more herbs if you like.)

next spoon some mixture into your hands and shape the mixture into round balls.

brush a little oil over each kofta and grill them in an oven at 180 degrees for around 10- 12 minutes until the meat is cooked.
