Smoked Mackerel Pâté

A delicious pâté that can be used as a starter or a dip at any dinner party!



  • 1 medium smoked mackerel fillet
  • 2oz reduced fat cream cheese
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon worcester sauce (optional)
  • black pepper, to season


1. Remove skin and any bones from mackerel fillet and break into pieces.

2. Add cheese, lemon juice, worcester sauce (if using) and season with black pepper.

3. Mash well with a fork until combined and smooth or blitz in a food processor.

serve with oatcakes/crackers or toasted wholemeal bread!
