1) Cook the pasta first according to packet instructions, and also cook broccoli in a seperate pan of boiled water for 4 minutes.
2) Drain the broccoli and return to the pan and lightly mash it with a fork, grate the garlic and then mix in the chilli flakes and pine nuts.
3) Drain the pasta and return it to the pan. Stir in the broccoli pesto and the pour over the olive oil and season. Spoon in some grated parmesan or cheese and serve.
