1. Put the cup of pasta in a microwaveable bowl or jug and fill with water until the pasta is submerged. Add a pinch of salt.
2. Cook in the microwave at your normal settings for 7 - 10 minutes or until either cooked or al dente (however you like your pasta)
3. Drain and put back in bowl. Place the butter on top and then the cheese. Microwave for 2 minutes until cheese is melted. Mix up and put in a bowl to eat.
This counts as an appropriate snack food, right?
