Pasta Putenesca Sauce

Makes a good lunch

Ingredients

  • -a little bit of oil
  • -2 anchovies
  • -2 cloves of garlic
  • -1 chilli
  • -1 1/2 cups of olives
  • -1 cup of capers
  • -1 tin of tomato

Method

-get a large-ish saucepan and put oil and the anchovies into the pan. Don't burn the anchovies (if you're vegetarian just remove the anchovies).

-chop the garlic and chillies, but remember to remove the seeds. Add to the pan, and wait until golden.

-add olives and capers, add the tin of tomato. Warm up, serve with pasta and parmesan cheese.

    I make a similar one without the chilli. The capers, olives and anchovies may not be to everyone's taste but to me and my housemates they are darn fine!

    Anchovies? Chilli? Why would pasta have those? Not to hurt your feelings, but i am not an caper fan... Whatever it is.
