Penne Alla Casa

Creamy, tomato pasta with spinach and romano cheese



  • 1 lb of penne pasta
  • 1 cup of marinara sauce (or basil tomato flavored pasta sauce)
  • 2 cups of heavy cream
  • 1 clove of garlic finely chopped (or 1 tbsp of garlic puree)
  • 1/2 cup of romano cheese
  • several chopped sundried tomatoes
  • 1/2 lb fresh chopped spinach (or 1 cup frozen spinach)
  • salt and pepper to season


Sautee the garlic in a large deep frying pan or large saucepan until golden

Add the cream and the sundried tomatoes and simmer for 3-4 minutes until the cream has reduced slightly

Add the marinara sauce and stir until the sauce blends into a nice creamy, pink color

Stir in the spinach and the sundried tomatoes and simmer for about 2-3 minutes

Add the romano cheese, season and serve over the penne al dente
