Spanish Pasta

Spanish pasta with a mix of meats and veg



  • 1 chorizo sausage
  • 2 pieces of bacon. (Cut up into strips)
  • Fusilli
  • 1 onion (Diced)
  • 1 red pepper (Diced)
  • Thmye and/or Basil
  • 1 red chilli (Finely chopped)
  • 3/4 of a tin of chopped tomatoes
  • Half a jar of olives (Cut up)


Bring saucepan full of water to the boil and then add pasta to simmer on a lower temp.

Start frying the small strips of bacon

Add onions, pepper, olives and chorizo together and stir all the ingredients up.

Check pasta to make sure it is not cooking too fast or too slow.

When the ingredients in the frying pan start to cook more add in the chopped tomatoes which will thicken up the dish.

When everything is finished you should mix the pasta with the other ingredients (as well as a sprinkle of extra virgin olive oil) and serve up. Grilling cheese over the top is nice but not neccessary.

Duration: Max 30mins

The chorizo will be the most pricely ingredient but the cheap pasta and other ingredients are suitable for student cooking.
