Tuna Salsa

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 medium onion
  • 2 cloves of fresh garlic
  • 1 tin of tuna
  • 1 heaped tbsp tomato puree
  • Chilli powder
  • Tumeric Powder
  • Any type of pasta
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method

Chop onions and garlic into squares.

Heat the oil in a frying pan

Add onions and garlic and fry until soft

Add tomato puree and cook for 5 mins, stirring regularly

Add the tuna, a quarter of a tsp of chilli and tumeric powder, salt and pepper.

Add just enough boiled water to cover the mixture, cover and simmer for 10 minutes, adding more water if you need to.

Cook pasta according to packet instructions.

Serve pasta onto a plate and cover with the tuna mixture.
