Step 1:

  • 1) Melt butter and stir in brown sugar. Pour into 9 inch square pan.
  • Step 2:

  • 2) Drain pineapple, reserving 1/2 cup of syrup. Arrange pineapple in bottom of pan.
  • Step 3:

  • 3) Cream together butter and sugar until smooth. Add egg and vanilla. Beat.
  • Step 4:

  • 4) Add dry ingredients plus 1/2 cup of syrup. Mix.
  • Step 5:

  • 5) Bake 40-45 minutes at 350 F. Cool before inverting onto a plate.
