Pour into 9 inch square pan. Step 2: 2) Drain pineapple, reserving 1/2 cup of syrup. Arrange pineapple in bottom of pan. Step 3: 3) Cream together butter and sugar until smooth. Add egg and vanilla. Beat. Step 4: 4) Add dry ingredients plus 1/2 cup of syrup. Mix. Step 5: 5) Bake 40-45 minutes at 350 F. Cool before inverting onto a plate.
