Ingredients

• 2 cups milk
• 1/4th tbsp salt
• half cup white sugar
• 3 tbsp corn starch
• 1 tbsp butter
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

STEP 1:

In medium saucepan over medium heat, heat milk until bubbles form at edges.

STEP 2:

in a bowl, combine sugar, cornstarch and salt.

STEP 3:

pour into hot milk, a little at a time, stirring to dissolve.

STEP 4:

continue to cook and stir until mixture thickens enough to coat the back of a metal spoon.

STEP 5:

do not boil.

STEP 6:

remove from heat, stir in vanilla and butter.

STEP 7:

pour into serving dishes. Chill before serving.
