Chocolate Muffins

  • Makes about 12 muffins! Takes about 45mins to make!
  • 115g(4oz) butter
  • 285g (10oz) plain flour
  • 1 level tablespoon of baking powder
  • pinch of salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 85g(3oz) caster sugar
  • 220ml (8 fl oz) milk
  • 225g (8oz) raspberries (optional)
  • 85g (3oz) cooking chocolate drops


1) Set the oven on 200 oc. Put cake cases in a muffin tin/tray. Melt the butter in a pan. Sift the flour, salt and baking powder into a bowl.

2)Beat the egg in a bowl, then add the sugar, milk, and melted butter. Add the flour mixture and fold it in.

3)Fold the raspberries and chocolate drops into the muffin mixture, then spoon it into the cake cases.

4)Bake the muffins for 25 to 30 minutes, until they have risen and are firm and brown/golden.Then put them on a wire rack to cool.

    There ok but not as good and what r cooking chocolate drops
    just used chocolate chips

    you can use 3 fl oz oil instead of butter and it tastes no different, or you can use any sugar, what kind of student has caster sugar in their kitchen...? Or a muffin tray now I come to thnk of it..
