Chocolate Oaties

Choco Oats



  • 200g margarine
  • 140g Self raising flour
  • 1 tbsp. Cocoa
  • 120g sugar
  • 140g Porridge oats
  • Option
  • Can add Chocolate after cooked for a treat and better taste.


Grease a small baking tin

Preheat the oven Gas 4/180 C

Put the margarine and sugar into the mixing bowl

Sieve the flour and cocoa together mix in the oats in a second mixing bowl or mix with hands

With an electric handwhisk cream the margarine and sugar together

Fold the flour, cocoa and oats GRADUALLY into the mixture until it is all well mixed

Turn the mixture into the tin and spread evenly in the tin

Place in the oven and bake for 25 – 30 minutes until firm to touch.

Allow to cool slightly before cutting into bars
