Crispy Dal Ka Pakora W/ Dip

A nice add on to your evening tea on a rainy evening with family and friends



  • 1 cup red lentils, soaked for a few hours
  • 2 onions, diced
  • 4 chillies, chopped
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp jeera powder
  • salt to taste
  • a bunch of mint/pudina leaves


Take the soaked red lentils in a mixer grinder and grind to a fine paste. Add the turmeric powder, jeera powder, diced onions and chillies to the paste. Add adequate salt as per requirement. Mix well. Make into small nuggets and fry on medium flame in vegetable oil till golden brown.

for mint/pudina chutney (dip): wash the leaves and put in a mixer along with two green chillies and a pinch of salt. Grind it well. Your dip is ready.

serve hot with tomato ketchup/pudina dip and tea.
