Softest And Easiest Cake In A Cup

Published Friday, 21 February, 2014 by ridz

It is the best recipe i have ever tried for a cake in a cup

  • 3 tablespoons of castor sugar (you can also use normal sugar and grind it first making it like castor sugar)
  • 3 tablespoons all purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • 1 egg
  • vanilla essence (a tiny drop)

1. Mix castor sugar, all purpose floue, egg, oil in a mixer or blender and make a smooth paste or batter.

2. Pour this in a cup

3. Put it in microwave for 2.30 min

4. After 2.30 min check the cake by inserting a toothpick in it . If it comes out clean the cake is done ... If not then an additional 30 sec

Hey, i was wondering what kind of cup you put your cake in. I know it's like a mug or a glass or something, but like how tall or wide it is. Could that be why a lot of the commenters cakes aren't working out.

From looking at all the comments and rating, and everything, i will definitely try this out. Looks delicious!!!!

Looks amazing i am gonna try it!

  • Not Your Mum 4 years ago

It tasted a bit eggy but thats probably cos i didnt use a blender. It also came out a bit dry even though i only put it in for 1.30. But the taste is alright if your really craving just a simple cake

Looks brilliant! Depending on the size of your mug, i would watch it carefully, or at least put it on a saucer. I just pricked the top and drizzled golden syrup over it and it tastes amazing! Love it :)

What temperature should the microwave be set on?

You can grind the sugar in normal blender or mixers . You can use castor sugar if you dont have a grinder or mixer. Normal sugar will take time to mix well and it may not mix completely
