Lentil Soup - The Best Ever !

lentil soup



  • 2 carrots
  • half a turnip
  • 1 onion
  • approx small cup of red lentils ( more or less is ok)
  • leek ( optional)
  • 3-4 ham stock cubes


chop all ingred into a pan of hot water with the stock cubes, bring to boil, for about half an hour or until veg is soft. i am lazy and chop big but towards the end of coooking i take a potato masher & mash the veg makes it lovely and thick ( or you can use a hand blender if you have one)

this is lovely with crusty bread and a meal in its self !
