Cook the macaroni in plenty of salted boiling water.
Chop the onion and fry in a pan with a teaspoon of oil.
Add the soup.
Stir continuously until heated through.
Add 3/4 of the cheese (or all of the cheese if you aren't going to do the optional bit) and stir in until melted.
When macaroni is cooked, strain and add to the sauce. Stir round.
This is the optional bit. Put it into a cassarole dish and sprinkle on breadcrumbs and grated cheese. Pop in oven for 10 mins.
