Mainly lentils



  • Lentils (about 10g per person)
  • Water
  • Salt (lots of)


Boil the lentils in the water.

Add plenty of salt

    I can't imagine this tasting very nice. However, we all have our own preferences when it comes to taste. I like Mel's idea of it, and will definitely be giving it a try.

    lessen the salt add curry powder, garlic, onion, cumin powder, turmeric powder and a little bit of coconut milk if you want and you have perfect Dhal - eat with bread, chapatis or rice.... much more interesting

    Add a tin of baked beans and this soup is lush!
