Potato And Garlic Soup

  • 500g potatoes
  • 5 cloves garlic
  • 1 pint veg stock
  • Bit of butter
  • Cheese for on top (optional)
  • Serves 2


The amounts may not be exact because i dont really measure stuff i just add till it tastes good.

Peel and very finely chop the garlic (in you have a garlic crusher then it is even better)

fry in pan for a little while till browned and soft.

Dice potatoes and add to garlic pour over stock and boil till potatoes are soft.

Add a bit of butter and mash potatoes untill creamy (mash in stock, dont pour out)

great on a cold day served with warm crusty bread




  • This recipe is very easy, cheap and tasty, although i did blend mine, must help fight off germs the amount of garlic i put in it lol
