Happy anniversary Chick-fil-A, which is kicking off its 80th year with two new permanent treats, Frosted Sodas and Floats. They’re also serving up a run of collectible Classic Cups that can come with a fantastic prize (if you’re a Chick-fil-A fan).

In a Chick-fil-A press release, the company announced a new yearlong theme called Newstalgia. It started January 5, 2026 and leans hard into throwback designs, surprise drops and a sweepstakes focuses around these new cups.

I love old-school nostalgia, being a child of the 80s, anything that makes me think back fondly is a plus. And that’s what it seems Chick-fil-A is going for.

For example, the first wave of cup designs include the Doodles cup, a 1967-inspired Lemon Chicks cup, and another themed around Eat Mor Chikin. Check some of the designs below.

Hunt the Golden Fan Cup

Here’s the twist, according to CT Insider, there are 3,000 Golden Fan Cups mixed in, and if you get one of those, you’re in for free entrees for a year.

According to Chick-fil-A, these are loaded into a company account, including choices like the Original Chicken Sandwich, Spicy Chicken Sandwich, Grilled Chicken Sandwich, or an 8-count nuggets.

People Magazine has also reported that the Frosted Sodas are blended with Chick-fil-A’s vanilla Icedream and a soda choice. Floats keep the layers, soda first, ice cream on top, classic soda-shop style.

The press release also highlights that during this yearlong event you’ll see familiar fountain names in the mix, like Coca-Cola, Dr Pepper, and Sprite.

The San Antonio Express News reported the cups are priced at $3.99, and they come wrapped so you cannot see which design you got until you open it.

According to the Chick-fil-A’s Classic Cups page, the promotion runs until July 1, 2026. That page also adds that there is an no-purchase-necessary entry option, plus eligibility basics like being a U.S. resident and over 18.

Data from Chick-fil-A’s Classic Cups page says that the odds of winning are listed around 1 in 1,868. Which isn’t great, but not impossible either.

Keep it fun, keep it smart

Here’s the helpful part, especially for the crowd watching sugar, sodium, or both. These simple moves can stop you from breaking diets, New Year’s resolutions, and more:

  • Split a Frosted Soda or Float and call it a treat, not a habit.
  • If you go the soda route, consider a diet option when it fits your plan.
  • Keep the prize math in perspective, winning is basically one entrée a week.
  • Check the nutrition info before it becomes a routine.

We know collectors will collect (I do and probably will for these cups too). So there’s no judgment here.
