Cinnabon is adding two Harry Potter-inspired Butterbeer treats for a very short run, May 4 through May 17, 2026, at participating locations.
Fans will be able to try a Butterbeer-flavored Classic Roll and a Butterbeer-flavored Chillatta while supplies last.
According to Cinnabon, the launch is part of Butterbeer Season, with the brand calling itself the first U.S. restaurant brand to join the seasonal celebration. Delish reported that the release lines up with the 25th anniversary of Harry Potter.
I’ll admit, this is the kind of pop culture fast-food news that still gets my attention. A cinnamon roll inspired by Butterbeer is simple and nostalgic for fans of the book or movie series.
What’s on the Butterbeer menu?
The Butterbeer-Flavored Classic Roll is the must-try item on the menu. Cinnabon says it takes the regular Classic Roll and adds Butterbeer-infused frosting, with the roll served in custom Harry Potter-themed packaging. It can be bought on its own or in CinnaPacks.
Sporked adds that the Butterbeer-Flavored Chillatta is a creamy blended drink that mixes Butterbeer flavor with vanilla. So, if the roll sounds too rich, the drink gives fans another way to try the flavor without going all-in on frosting.
A little magic in the app
Along with the menu items, Cinnabon is running sweepstakes. They run from May 4 at 12:01 a.m. ET through May 17 at 11:59 p.m. ET. To enter, eligible fans need to sign into an existing Cinnabon Rewards account or create one through the sweepstakes landing page.
Cinnabon’s rules say 50 winners will receive Harry Potter x Cinnabon merchandise, while 10 winners will receive free Classic Rolls for a year and a Harry Potter x Cinnabon shirt. “Free Classic Rolls for a year” means one Classic Roll reward each week for 52 weeks.
Cinnabon also has a limited app offer tied to the code Platform934. Franchising.com reported that the first 934 Cinnabon Rewards members who add the code can receive $2 off a Butterbeer Bon reward. The code must be unlocked in the app before May 17, 2026.
Fans can use the app for the promo code, but the treats themselves are only around from May 4 through May 17. After that, the spell breaks.
