If you’re looking for something to eat this Sunday, KFC has launched a new rotating digital-only deal.

The company is calling it Sundays by KFC, and it runs to February 8, ready for the Super Bowl.

There are some conditions to consider:

  • The deals are tied to the KFC Rewards program.
  • They come with hard stops, most of which end at 4:00 a.m. ET the next day.

So if you’re hungry in the early hours of Monday morning, the deal will still be running.

For many, Sunday nights can feel pretty heavy, whether cooking for a family or simply stressing for the start of the work week. So, a fast food deal on a Sunday is potentially good timing.

Deal lineup

The deal lineup for the following Sundays:

  • January 18: $5 off a 6-piece Taste of KFC Deal
  • January 25: $15 12-piece Chicken Bucket
  • February 1: $30 8-piece Chicken + 8 Tenders Feast
  • February 8: 20 wings for $20, plus four dip cups, with Hot & Spicy or Honey BBQ offered depending on location.

Source86 reports that the idea started as a one-day pop-up in New York City before expanding nationwide. The deals target at-home meals, for example, football watch parties.

Data behind KFC’s decision

Data in the original press release shows the angle KFC is leaning into:

  • 58% of people with New Year’s food goals say they feel guilty when they break them.
  • 28% say Sundays are when they’re most likely to loosen up.
  • 27% treat Sunday as a cheat day.

Also in the press release, KFC CMO Melissa Cash highlights that the goal wasn’t to make Sunday feel like a cheat day, but something more intentional, pairing comfort with value without pushing guilt.
