“What happens when you take two Texas originals and swirl them together with a rich, fruity twist?” The press release for the new Dr Pepper Blackberry shake boasts that this will be perfect for backyard hangouts, game nights, and other classic summer activities.
This isn’t the first time Whataburger shook up its Dr Pepper. At the beginning of 2024, Whataburger introduced the Dr Pepper Shake to fans, who couldn’t get enough of it. The beloved drink has been a favorite for the chain for so long that they decided to bring the shake back, but with a twist.
Starting August 5, customers can swing by Whataburger and order the limited-time Dr Pepper Blackberry Shake. Described as smooth and velvety, this shake features the brand’s signature Vanilla Shake base blended with Dr Pepper and a splash of blackberry flavor.
“The new Dr Pepper Blackberry Shake is the kind of treat that takes an ordinary moment and makes it feel just a little extra,” said Whataburger Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer Scott Hudler. “We paired two Texas favorites in a way that feels fresh but familiar—fun, expected, and full of that signature Whataburger deliciousness. It’s the kind of sip that’ll keep you coming back all season long.”
For Whataburger Rewards members, you can grab this item for only .75 cents on August 8 between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. to celebrate the brand’s 75th anniversary.
