Olive Garden has brought back its popular Buy One, Take One deal nationwide. The offer runs through May 3, with prices starting at $14.99.

The deal gives guests one entrée for now and another entrée to take home for later. Ideal for people wanting to skip cooking or for anyone looking to get more value from their fast-food spend.

Delish reported that the setup is pretty simple:

  • You order one pasta to enjoy now.
  • Then, when you leave, you take a second chilled entrée for a later meal.

For most people, value matters more than flashy menu talk. Yet, $14.99 is still a large entry price. However, according to Olive Garden, the dine-in portion also comes with soup or salad and breadsticks, so when you break it down, it’s two meals and a side for $14.99.

Buy One, Take One lineup

Nation’s Restaurant News noted that the starting-price choices include:

  • Spaghetti with Meat Sauce Four-Cheese Manicotti
  • The all-new Rigatoni alla Vodka

For a few dollars more you can pick up:

  • Fettuccine Alfredo
  • Five-Cheese Ziti al Forno
  • Lasagna Classico
  • Chicken Parmigiana

Interestingly, Olive Garden has kept the same starting price as last year, which is a positive for consumers.

The free part is the second entrée. This is a take-home meal and is prepared chilled so customers can reheat it later. The choices include:

  • Fettuccine Alfredo
  • Five Cheese Ziti al Forno
  • Spaghetti with Meat Sauce.

One small catch, the take-home meal does not come with the soup, salad, or breadsticks.

For anyone trying to stretch dinner without overthinking it, the appeal is obvious.

The deal is available for a limited time only, so this isn’t something to leave sitting on the mental shelf. At a time when everything seems to cost more, two pasta meals for one still sounds pretty good.
