After six long years, the wait is finally over. The rumors are true, and it’s time to run to your nearest Walmart, as Pop-Tarts bring back a fan-favorite flavor. And we have Marvel Studios to thank for this.
On June 2, the Kellavona team confirmed that Pop-Tarts Frosted Blue Raspberry variety would be making a “FanTASTEic” comeback this year to celebrate the July 25 theatrical release of Fantastic Four: First Steps, but unfortunately, it’s only for a limited time and only at one retailer.
The flavor disappeared from shelves years ago, and fans were incredibly disappointed at the loss. However, thanks to the MCU collab, the pack is back once more. The pack features the iconic pastry filled with a “deliciously gooey blue raspberry-flavored center” that the brand says strikes “the perfect balance of tangy, fruity, and sweet.”
However, there’s going to be some slight changes to the pack, obviously because of the collab. The pastries will look a bit different, as they feature eight “unique” designs inspired by the superhero team, their powers, and more. And of course, the packaging will feature the Fantastic Four superhero group as well.
Vice President of Marketing for Pop-Tarts, Leslie Serro, talks about the upcoming release, saying the “Pop-Tarts and Marvel Studios’ The Fantastic Four: First Steps collaboration is a celebration of our shared 1960s origins. There’s no better way to welcome everyone’s favorite blue-suited Super Hero family to the MCU than the triumphant return of our fantastically blue toaster pastry.”
The pastries will only be available at Walmart stores nationwide beginning June 9th, 2025, and only while supplies last. The printed pastries will also be available in specially marked eight-count boxes with Frosted Strawberry, Frosted Brown Sugar Cinnamon, and Frosted S’mores.
