Seasonal fast food changes are always interesting, especially when they bring new or interesting flavors. That’s what Starbucks is doing on March 3, 2026, as it rolls out its spring menu.
Included in their spring push are a selection of toasted coconut drinks, new chai customization options, and the return of lavender favorites.
According to Starbucks, the spring launch leans hard into “make it your way” ordering. This is especially true with chai, allowing customers to adjust sweetness, spice, and overall flavor without losing that classic black tea and warm spice base.
The drink that I’ll be trying this spring is the Toasted Coconut Cream Cold Brew. It combines familiar coffee with a tropical twist, finished with a dessert-like layer that makes it feel more like a treat than a routine pickup.

Lavender and chai
Newsweek reported that the returning lavender lineup includes:
- Iced Lavender Cream Matcha
- Iced Lavender Latte
- Lavender Crème Frappuccino
A new item on the list is the Iced Lavender Cream Chai.
Starbucks says that the updated chai recipe is built to flex and customize to your taste. So if you want it sweeter, you can. If you want it spicier, that’s an option too.
What’s great about customization options is that they can reshape ordering habits, especially for people who are on the fence about chai.
Ube on the menu
Ube is a purple yam from the Philippines, known for its vivid color and sweet, vanilla-like flavor.
This uncommon ingredient is the star in the Iced Ube Coconut Macchiato. Alongside it, the new Toasted Coconut Latte joins the Starbucks cold brew lineup.
For those who like coconut, Starbucks says its coconut syrup will stick around throughout 2026.
Additionally, for anyone who wants to try something different, they’re rolling out a Frog Cake Pop. No doubt it’s perfect for keeping young kids quiet while out on a coffee run.

March rewards changes
Another change coming in March is to the Rewards setup.
This change will impact around 35.5 million U.S. Starbucks Rewards members, all of whom will be moved into a three-tier setup starting March 10. The three tiers are Green, Gold, and Reserve.
The company says the goal is clearer progression and more personalized benefits as people engage more, not just a one-size-fits-all points ladder.
One last note, if you’re watching blood sugar, these seasonal drops can be fun, but they add up fast. Consider sharing beverages, opting for smaller options, or skipping dessert-like toppings to keep your sugars in check.
