For anyone looking for healthier fast-food options, Sweetgreen is testing a new wrap option in a limited number of restaurants across New York, the Midwest, and Los Angeles.

The test lineup includes three wrap options, each built with 40 grams or more of protein. They also stick to the same real-ingredient style Sweetgreen is famed for in its bowls.

Delish reported that the move is targeting people who want something easier to eat on the move.

The wraps include:

  • Classic Chicken Caesar, including roasted chicken, chopped romaine, parmesan crisps, shaved parmesan, garlic breadcrumbs, Caesar dressing, and a lemon squeeze.
  • Chicken Jalapeño Ranch wrap with blackened chicken, corn salsa, white cheddar, pickled onions, tortilla chips, white rice, and charred jalapeño ranch.
  • Chicken Salad Bacon Club, made with green goddess chicken salad, crumbled bacon, avocado, tomatoes, chopped romaine, garlic breadcrumbs, and garlic aioli.

StockTitan highlights that the wrap test is being used to gather insights that could help shape a wider rollout later. They’re also available via the Sweetgreen app across participating locations.

As for pricing, the wraps start at $10.95 and are each under $15 across all test markets.

Sweetgreen isn’t the first destination people think of when looking for a fast-food fix. The company is famed for its chef-crafted bowls, salads, and plates, each of which is best eaten at a table. It also serves seasonal menus in more than 280 locations nationwide.

The wrap test doesn’t really move away from the company’s core of seasonal ingredients with a health-first focus. It just makes its wholesome food easier to eat on the go.

This is a move that makes sense, especially for people looking to eat healthy while out and about. The price point is quite high versus other wrap options, but healthier food often comes at a premium.
