Wendy’s has come out with quite the deal. For one day only, the classic Dave’s Single quarter-pounder will be $1. The offer has a catch and is tied to a promotion for Singles Awareness Day (something I didn’t even know existed).

If you visit the Wendy’s app or website on February 15, the day after Valentine’s Day, you’ll find the option to pick up this bargain. And it is a bargain. For $1, you’ll get a quarter-pound burger topped with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, onion, ketchup, and mayo.

The aforementioned catch is that it requires a qualifying purchase to unlock the $1 price. So, consider it a nice little low-cost addition to any order you might be making. I honestly thought you’d need to prove your single status somehow, but thankfully not.

According to The Wendy’s Company, you’ll need the app, an account, and you’ll have to redeem the offer on February 15.

Singles Awareness Day

As highlighted by Sporked, you don’t need to prove you’re single. It’s effectively a promo offering a super-cheap burger. No awkward questions at the counter or paperwork to show.

For anyone curious, Singles Awareness Day is an unofficial day built around the idea that February 15 is for people who aren’t doing the roses-and-reservations routine the day before. The holiday started gaining traction in the early 2000s and is now something many people celebrate.

Dave’s Single

Here’s the beauty of this deal. Dave’s Single normally costs around $5, so that $1 price jumps out. This is especially true, as many customers are openly frustrated about price hikes across fast food, which is probably why deals like this get shared so quickly online. People want a deal.

As Wendy’s put it in its PR release, this promo is positioned as the reliable choice after Valentine’s Day hype.

If you’re trying to be smarter with your food choices, for example, watching calories, blood pressure, and blood sugar, you can still enjoy deals like this. The catch is to balance it elsewhere, don’t have sugary drinks or extra portions, etc.

If you’re interested in this promotion, we recommend double-checking that your local store is participating, as not all locations are.
