  • 1. Empty the jelly packet into a bowl. Put boiling water according to the instructions on the packet.

  • prepare your custard according to the instructions on the packaging

  • once you have prepared the custard wait for it to cool down.

  • now we will start to assemble the trifle

  • on top of the jelly , crumble the plain vanilla cake, once that is done pour the custard over the cake, put the trifle back in the fridge to set for about 15-20 minutes.

  • whip your double cream or your whipping cream with an electric whisk or a normal hand whisk. Once you have whipped the cream you can either put the cream in a piping back and decorate or you can just spread the cream on top of the custard ,.
