STEP 1:

apple
bread
brown sugar
butter
eel
flour
rum
sugar

Pre-heat the oven to gas mark 4. Peel and chop the apples into small chunks, about 1-2cm each. Add the brown sugar, flour and flavouring and stir a little to mix. Spread this evenly and thickly over the bottom of the dish you are using. To make the crumble, mix the flour and sugar in a bowl then add the butter in small amounts as you rub it in (google this if you’re not sure how, it literally just means rubbing the ingredients together with your fingertips) until it looks a bit like roughly cut breadcrumbs. Spread this evenly over the filling and loosely pat it all down to even it out. Put it in the oven for 30-40 minutes depending on how big the dish is, checking it after 30 minutes regardless. The filling should be bubbling and the top lightly browned when it is done. Enjoy! 😀
