Bolognese

Can be used for bolognses, chili, lasagne

Ingredients

  • 2 medium onions
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • olive oil
  • chopped parsley
  • mixed herb
  • salt and pepper
  • 200g chopped panchetta
  • 500g lean steak mince
  • desert spoon of conc. tomato puree
  • 2 tins of chopped tomatoes
  • 3 beef oxo cubes into half a cup of warm water
  • half a tea spoon of sugar
  • 3 bay leaves

Method

Chop 2 medium onions and three cloves of garlic

Sautee in olive oil with chopped parsley mixed herb salt and black pepper

Add 200g chopped panchetta and 500g lean steak mince, brown well

add 1 desert spoon of conc. tomato puree then add in 2 tins of chopped tomatoes

then crumble 3 beef oxo cubes into half a cup of warm water and add

add half a tea spoon of sugar and 3 bay leaves

simmer for at least 1 hour
